LabelSnap
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
In short
- Your PDFs and everything in them stay on your device. We never upload or see them.
- LabelSnap is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. Google may use your device’s advertising ID to show and measure ads, and you control whether they are personalised.
- If the app crashes, it sends an anonymous crash report so we can fix it.
- There is no account, no sign-in and no usage analytics.
LabelSnap (“the app”) crops shipping labels out of marketplace invoice PDFs. It is developed by IndiBuys (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what the app does with your information.
Your documents never leave your device
Every PDF you open in LabelSnap is read, cropped and saved on your device. Your files and the information inside them, such as customer names, addresses, order numbers and barcodes, are never uploaded, never shared with advertisers, and never seen by us or anyone else.
There is no account, no sign-in, and no server that holds your documents.
Extracted label files are saved in the app’s own storage on your device. You can see how much space they use, delete them, or set them to expire automatically under Settings → Data. Uninstalling the app deletes them too.
Advertising
LabelSnap is free to use and is supported by ads. Ads appear as a banner on the home and result screens, and occasionally as a full-screen ad after an extraction finishes. They are provided by Google AdMob, a service operated by Google.
To choose, show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, the Google Mobile Ads SDK in the app collects the following and sends it to Google:
Google may collect
- Your device’s advertising ID (Android Advertising ID, or Apple’s IDFA if you allow tracking)
- Approximate location, derived from your IP address
- Device type, OS version, app version and language
- How you interact with ads, such as views and taps
- Diagnostic information about ad performance
Advertisers never receive
- Your PDFs, labels, file names or any part of their contents
- Customer names, addresses, order numbers or barcodes
- Your name, email or phone number (the app never asks for them)
Google uses this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy. Google may share it with its advertising partners. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not receive your advertising ID or any other personal data from Google.
Your ad choices
- Consent (EEA, UK and Switzerland). The first time you open the app, you are asked whether Google may use your data for personalised ads. You can change your answer at any time under Settings → Privacy → Ad privacy choices.
- iPhone and iPad. iOS asks whether LabelSnap may track you. If you choose “Ask App Not to Track”, your IDFA is not shared and ads are not personalised using it. You can change this in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Android. You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Settings → Privacy → Ads (or Settings → Google → Ads).
- Google account. You can manage ad personalisation at adssettings.google.com.
If you decline personalisation, you still see ads, but they are not based on your interests. Ads are limited to content rated suitable for a general audience.
Crash reports
When the app crashes or hits an error, it sends a diagnostic report to Firebase Crashlytics, also operated by Google.
A crash report contains
- The error and where in the code it happened
- Device model, OS version and app version
- Whether memory or storage was low
- Which marketplace you were extracting from (e.g. “Flipkart”), the page count, and the screens visited before the problem
A crash report never contains
- File names or any part of your files
- Customer names, addresses, order numbers or barcodes
- Your advertising ID, name, email, phone number or any other personal identifier
Crash reports are used only to find and fix problems in the app. They are not used for advertising and not used to track you. They are kept by Firebase Crashlytics for up to 90 days, then deleted automatically. See Firebase privacy and security.
What we do not collect
- No usage analytics. The app contains no analytics SDK.
- No precise location, contacts, camera, photos or microphone. The app does not request these permissions.
- No account or profile. We hold nothing that identifies you as a person.
File access
You choose a PDF through your device’s own file picker or by sharing it to LabelSnap from another app. The app receives only the file you choose and has no access to anything else in your storage.
Security
All data the app sends, for ads or crash reports, is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
Data retention and deletion
Your documents and extracted labels live only on your device. You can delete them at any time under Settings → Data, or remove everything by uninstalling the app.
We do not store any personal data on our own servers, so there is nothing for us to delete on request. Crash reports carry no identifier linking them to you and are deleted automatically after 90 days. Advertising data is held by Google under its own retention policies. You can remove its link to your device by resetting or deleting your advertising ID, or manage it through your Google account.
Children
LabelSnap is a business tool for online sellers and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the app, contact us and we will help.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in Europe or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, or to withdraw consent. We hold no personal data about you ourselves. You can withdraw ad consent in the app as described above, and exercise your rights over advertising data directly with Google. For anything else, email us.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and publish the new version at this same address.
